What will you be doing?
We recognise that everyone has a different pathway to success and for many people an apprenticeship offers an alternative to the traditional academic approach to learning. This is where our English and Maths Coaches can support individuals in achieving life-changing results.
Whether you have already delivered functional skills training within work-based learning or you are a teacher who has delivered both maths and English, you can deliver learning in an accessible and contextualised way through the practical application of these subjects within the workplace environment.
This is where you can really have an impact and help our learners relate maths and English to real life skills and support them in achieving their apprenticeship, approaching functional skills in a way they may not have thought possible.
Working from home and out in the field you will be afforded a more flexible approach to your work, giving you real autonomy to manage your own work/life balance.
Delivering inspiring coaching to learners via virtual classrooms or at their place of work, in groups or as individuals you will be providing the support, guidance and motivation that helps them to get career-building, essential qualifications in maths and English, managing your own admin along the way.
What will you bring to the role?
- Proven experience of delivering English and maths (preferably both, but would consider either)
- Proven experience in delivering additional support, e.g. for NVQs, KS or Technical Certificates
- A minimum Level 3 Teaching Qualification
- PTLLS or equivalent
- Key/Functional Skills level 2 or above in Maths and English
- A Subject specialism for literacy or numeracy desirable
