Responsibilities
To efficiently and effectively deliver the day-to-day operation of the Metal Finishing section, undertaking tasks under the direction of the Metal Finishing Team Leader or in his absence the Metal Finishing Supervisor.
- Daily tasks include electroplating a variety of components from a wide selection of different aircraft platforms. Plating processes include Cadmium, Nickel, Chrome, Silver, Tin, Copper and Phosphate.
- Help monitor and maintain stock levels of chemicals and consumables.
- Carry out daily, weekly and monthly control checks.
- Maintain the function of plant and equipment.
- Maintain the 5S standard required.
- Ensure quality standards are maintained in accordance with EASA, FAA and company procedures.
- Ensure you are working in accordance with the relevant Environmental, Health and Safety requirements for working in MPBU, specifically the plating bay.
Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
- Experience in engineering/metal finishing (desirable)
- Aviation background (highly desirable)
- Computer literate
