Hours: Full-time with occasional Saturdays

Key Responsibilities:

  • Patient Care: Provide excellent care to patients before, during, and after dental procedures. Ensure patients feel comfortable and well-informed about their treatment.
  • Clinical Support: Assist the dentist during a variety of treatment procedures, including taking dental radiographs (X-rays) and preparing dental materials.
  • Infection Control: Maintain a clean and sterile environment in accordance with health and safety regulations. Ensure all instruments and equipment are properly sterilized.
  • Record Keeping: Accurately maintain patient records, including updating medical histories and treatment plans, and manage appointments efficiently.
  • Communication: Communicate effectively with patients, ensuring they understand their treatment and feel at ease. Provide post-operative instructions and answer any questions they may have.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with the dental team to deliver exceptional service and support the smooth running of the practice.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Essential:

  • Recognized Dental Nursing qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Dental Nursing)

  • Current GDC registration

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • A commitment to patient care and maintaining high standards of hygiene and safety

  • Desirable:

  • Experience with dental software systems

  • Experience working in a busy dental practice

  • Additional certifications such as radiography or first aid are a plus
