Interim Financial Controller
Manchester, 4 days per week with 1 day remote.
Circa £600/700 per day, outside IR35, including expenses

I have a pending requirement for an experienced and dynamic Interim Financial Controller to join an international, multi-site business based in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity for a seasoned finance professional to make a significant impact to the financial operations of a growing organisation.
The business has recently changed ownership and the acquiring party is looking to make improvements across the board but with the backdrop of antiquated systems, processes and technology.
The role will suit a technically strong candidate who is experienced in making improvements in a dynamic, change environment. You will need to be a self-starter who can quickly get to grips with the business to add value.
Key Responsibilities:
- Optimise the Finance Function: Evaluate and enhance current processes, technology, and team structure to ensure maximum efficiency and effectiveness.
- Group Consolidation: Lead the consolidation of the international entities, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
- Audit Delivery: Oversee and deliver the group audit, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Drive Change and Improvements: Implement strategic changes to improve overall financial performance and reporting timetables.
- Ownership: Take full ownership driving continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Key Requirements:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Demonstrable experience of delivery in a heavy change environment.
- Group consolidation of international entities.
- Experience of managing an international accounting timetable.
- Ability to deliver audits effectively and efficiently.
- A proactive approach to driving change and improving reporting timetables.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
