An exciting opportunity has arisen in the operational team for a Head of Operations and for the right person we offer a 35-hour week, competitive salary, excellent contributory pension scheme, and 25 days holiday increasing to 30 days.

The role involves the operational delivery of an effective customer-focused multiple trade direct labour organisation. Working across various trade and contractor teams.

Guiding a team of managers delivering responsive repairs, voids, cyclical maintenance, compliance works, and planned maintenance programmes undertaken by the in-house contractor, spanning various construction trades. Ensuring procurement and the management of suppliers, sub-contractors and consultants to support the department in the delivery of services.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE

Do you have:

  • Extensive experience in managing repair programmes and maintenance trade teams.
  • Strong knowledge of leading on Health and Safety in a construction environment.
  • Experience in delivering a customer-focused service.
  • Able to write and present quality written reports to Senior Management, Board and our Sub Committees.
  • A track record of management and motivation of teams and colleagues.
  • Experience in managing, forecasting and setting budgets.
  • Strong diagnostic skills including use of IT systems, and an ability to identify problems and produce innovative solutions to improve performance.
  • Demonstrable ability for personal organisation and effective working.
  • Knowledge and experience of working in social housing is desirable.
