Our client, a leading name in the sports, lifestyle and fashion industry, is seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join their team. With a staggering presence worldwide and extensive growth in the sporting goods sector, the sky's the limit when you join this dynamic sales team.

About Your Role:

As the Strategic Account Manager, you'll spearhead the management and cultivation of relationships with top sports retailers across Germany. Your focus will be on driving distribution and volume of our sports clothing range.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Accelerate Market Share: Significantly increase market presence and the brand's footprint through both retention of existing and acquisition of new clients.
  • Develop Brand Footprints: Focus on key cities and regions within Germany, including major buying groups and retailers like Intersport Germany and Sport 2000.
  • Client Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key accounts, dealing with head offices and regional independent members.
  • Value-Add Sales Approach: Drive sales through strong cross-functional collaboration and a deep understanding of customer needs.
  • New Product Introduction: Accelerate the distribution of new product lines to drive value per customer.
  • Commercial Agreements: Negotiate and manage commercial agreements effectively.
  • Strategic Planning: Work closely with the Director of Sales and Leadership team to develop and implement strategic plans for market growth.

What Do I Need?

  • Location: Reside in the UK (happy to commute to the London based office 2/3 days per week) and be willing to travel to Germany, frequently (50%-60% of the time).
  • Experience: Proven track record of market development, ideally within the sporting goods or premium brands sector.
  • Skills:
  • Dynamic and self-motivated; able to operate autonomously in a multifaceted role.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer with strong negotiation and presentation skills.
  • Analytical mindset, able to shape and present business proposals based on robust factual argumentation.
  • Proficient in MS Office and excellent administration skills.
  • Fluent in German and English (written and verbal).

  • Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Depending on level of experience)
  • Bonus: Heavily incentivized bonus payment scheme, including 3% commission on sales over target.
