Purpose and Aim of Post:

We are seeking a dedicated Concierge to manage the day-to-day operations at one of our client's blocks in Battersea. The ideal candidate will create a positive first impression and provide exceptional customer service to meet the needs and expectations of the development and its residents. This role is great for an individual who has prior experience and id looking for a better work-life balance!

£24,000-£26,000/year, 27 days holiday + Pension contribution + annual performance based bonus

Working pattern : 4 days on (2days 08:00-16:00 & 2 days 15:30-23:30) / 2 days off

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide concierge services as directed by the Property Manager.
  • Inspect all internal areas of the private residential buildings daily, reporting defects, security, or health and safety concerns.
  • Set an example by being courteous and helpful to all residents, guests, and contractors.
  • Maintain the concierge log with relevant comments and details.
  • Collaborate with the estate security team on all security matters.
  • Receive and keep safe registered mail and deliveries for residents.
  • Handle general telephone enquiries and log messages.
  • Ensure the estate is a well-managed, safe, clean, and secure environment.
  • Keep the development logs updated.
  • Maintain an in-depth working knowledge of the development.
  • Log all incidents or accidents.
  • Implement procedures as directed by the Managing Agent or Health and Safety Consultant.
  • Assist with annual fire and health and safety risk assessments.
  • Monitor CCTV cameras and save images as necessary.
  • Promote sustainability initiatives as directed by the Managing Agent.
  • Supervise and log keys in and out as per procedures.
  • Manage and facilitate the provision of a dry cleaning service.
  • Undertake cleaning tasks as required.
  • Monitor contractors, ensuring they log in/out and protect communal areas.
  • Be flexible and undertake duties as required by the Estate Manager, Property Manager, or Managing Agent.
  • Report any defects or health and safety concerns to your line manager.
  • Attend training courses as directed by the Managing Agent.
  • Refrain from inappropriate behavior, such as smoking, swearing, or being under the influence of alcohol or illegal drugs while on duty.

Essential Experience:

  • Over 2 years in a high-end customer service establishment ad a porter, front of house or concierge.
  • Experience overseeing additional lifestyle management services.
  • Dealing with the general public in sensitive situations.
  • Practical application of Health & Safety in the workplace.
  • Proven track record of dealing with contractors and handling complaints.

Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to manage time and multiple tasks effectively.
  • Commitment to teamwork.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to form positive relationships with residents, clients, staff, contractors, and outside agencies.
  • Maintain objectivity and professionalism in stressful situations.
  • Proficiency in I.T., including email and Microsoft Office Suite (Word and Excel).
