Senior Procurement Manager

Castlefield Recruitment are currently working in partnership with Atlas BFW Management (Atlas) to recruit a Senior Procurement Manager. Atlas are experts in healthcare facilities and property management, who deliver fully managed healthcare facilities services and property management solutions to clients throughout Lancashire and South Cumbria.

They are a wholly owned subsidiary of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. This means that we part of the Trust's group and the wider NHS family, but are a separate Limited Company, with their own business plan, board, management structure and staff.

Any profits Atlas make are used to help grow the business, provide additional employment, training, and development for their staff, whilst helping to support the Trust's frontline clinical services, and the delivery of safe patient care.

Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Procurement Manager to join Atlas. The Senior Procurement Manager will be working with the Atlas Senior Leadership Team to design and develop the Atlas procurement strategy.The post holder will oversee the Procurement Manager and be responsible for the ongoing implementation of the contract and procurement management system Atamis as well as ensuring that its use is embedded across the business

Duties will include;

  • Manage and oversee a professional procurement support service to stakeholders across each department
  • Manage the procurement pipeline
  • Ensure the accuracy and robustness of tendering documentation and templates
  • Be the subject matter expert within Atlas for Social Value and Net Zero operations
  • Oversee and support the team for the procurement of high value, complex contracts, ensuring appropriate project management processes are in place
  • Working with the Procurement Manager, ensure that the contracts & procurement software system data contained within Atamis is accurate and up to date
  • Produce and implement procurement plans to ensure the delivery of assigned product/service areas of the procurement strategy
  • Support the Atlas strategic procurement objectives by providing training to key stakeholders and colleagues in consideration of procurement activities
  • Act as the subject matter expert for PCR2023 within the business and ensure that all relevant colleagues are fully trained on forthcoming PCR2023 regulations
  • Prepare and implement a procurement development plan for the team ensuring that where appropriate formal procurement qualifications are obtained upskilling the Procurement Team

Person:

The successful Senior Procurement Manager will have:

  • MCIPS qualification
  • Demonstrable experience of working at a senior level in a procurement environment, leading teams and of being involved with the development of the procurement strategy
  • Public Sector procurement experience
  • Demonstrable record of continual professional development
  • Working knowledge of the Atamis system or similar
  • Significant experience in managing relationships with multiple stakeholders & team building
