Accounts Payable Clerk
Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum
Job Type: 6 month fixed term contract
Jackson Hogg is delighted to be supporting a growing business in Sedgefield on seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Clerk to join their dynamic finance team. **Key Responsibilities:
- Processing invoices: Accurately input supplier invoices into the accounting system and ensure timely payments.
- Statement reconciliation: Perform regular reconciliations of supplier statements, resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accuracy.
- Liaise with suppliers: Communicate effectively with suppliers to resolve invoice and payment queries, ensuring a professional relationship is maintained.
- Payment runs: Prepare and process payment runs, ensuring correct amounts are paid on time.
- Ad-hoc duties: Support the finance team with various administrative tasks, such as filing, data entry, and assisting with month-end processes.
**Qualifications & Skills:
- Previous experience in accounts payable or a similar finance role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly Excel) and accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, etc.).
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise confidently with suppliers and internal teams.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- A proactive attitude and willingness to support the wider finance team with ad-hoc tasks.
