Children and Families Team Manager

We are seeking a dedicated Children and Families Team Manager to lead our teams in Cotswolds & Stroud. This role is crucial in supporting families and communities to ensure every child has the best chance of a happy and rewarding life, particularly those who need more help.
Day-to-Day of the Role:
- Lead and manage a team of social workers and other professionals, ensuring the delivery of high-quality services and the safety and well-being of staff.
- Develop and implement a team plan that aligns with the strategic objectives of Children's Services.
- Provide management oversight on all cases, ensuring a clear understanding of risk and quality assurance through various methods including case file audits and reflective supervision.
- Engage in continuous professional development, keeping up to date with government guidance, legislation, and evidence-based practice.
- Build and maintain quality relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes for children and young people.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Registered with Social Work England.
- A recognised qualification in Social Work.
- Completion of ASYE year (if qualified after 2012).
- Extensive experience in a statutory social care setting with children and families.
- Proven track record of managing a team and demonstrating inspirational leadership.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in chairing meetings.
- Knowledge of Child Protection Procedures and relevant legislation.
- Ability to manage data and proficient in Microsoft Office.
