Field Service Engineer
Perm, £40k-£45 pa DOE, Day Shift, Mon-Fri, 25 days holiday + B.H
SOUTH WEST ENGLAND
I am looking for an experienced Mechanical/Electrical Service Engineer to work for a Chesterfield based company, who due to expansion are looking for Engineers to work in the field and cover the South West of England.
Day to Day tasks for this role will include:
- Utilising your solid background in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering to repair and perform maintenance on my clients equipment
- Fault-finding to the component level, ensuring that systems operate at peak performance
- Manage stock if required, ensuring smooth operations at the local storage facility
- Working both independently, or as part of a small team
- Travel significant distances and occasionally stay overnight away from home to fulfil responsibilities
- Be ready for occasional early starts and late finishes to meet commitments
- Attend quarterly meetings at the head office in Derbyshire
To be successful in this role you must be a qualified Mechanical Engineer with a City & Guilds qualification. Other Key skills required for the role include:
- Good Electrical experience as the role is multi-skilled
- Ideally have a minimum of 5 years Field Service experience
- Happy to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Be ready for occasional early starts and late finishes to meet commitments
- Able to stay away from home overnight on some occasions
- Attend quarterly meetings at the head office in Derbyshire
- Possess good communication and customer service skills

Your core working hours will be 8am to 5pm from Monday to Friday. Some flexibility in this will be required to suit my clients needs. The role is advertised as Permanent with a salary of up to £45k pa Depending on Experience.
