Position: Outreach Teacher
Location: Westminster, Chelsea and Kensington, Hammersmith and Fulham
Salary: Competitive, based on experience

About Us:

Our outreach programme is designed to offer personalised, one-to-one support to help students achieve their potential in a safe and understanding environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work one-to-one with students to provide individualised educational support, focusing on both academic and emotional development.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques such as Team Teach.
  • Support students in managing their mental health, promoting resilience and positive coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with families, therapists, and other professionals to create a consistent and supportive approach to each student's education.
  • Regularly assess and monitor student progress, adapting teaching methods to meet their evolving needs.
  • Create a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment where students feel valued and understood.

Ideal Candidate:

  • Experience working with students with challenging behaviour and mental health needs.
  • Comfortable working one-to-one with students in various settings, both within and outside of traditional classroom environments.
  • Trained in de-escalation techniques (e.g., Team Teach) and able to apply them effectively.
  • Strong understanding of mental health issues and how they impact young people's learning and behaviour.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting relationships with students.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students' well-being and personal growth.
