The Hours: The hours will be on average 10 to 12 hours per week, depending on the time of year, which would be Tuesday and Saturday. Wherever possible, we aim to offer a consistent working pattern, but we're looking for flexibility as it may be necessary for us to alter this pattern from time to time to suit the needs of the business. We'd give you as much notice of this as possible.'

What it's like to work here
The Lanhydrock estate comprises a grade 1 listed mansion set in a 25 acre garden and surrounded by 910 acres of countryside. The property is presented today at its late Victorian zenith when it was the home of Thomas, 2nd Lord Robartes, his wife Mary and their large family who were looked after by a staff of 80. The property offers a fascinating insight into the workings of a country estate, both above and below stairs.
The property welcomes around 500,000 visitors a year to its wider estate and 40,000 users to the trails.

What you'll be doing
As the Facilities Assistant, you'll assist with the day to day cleanliness and presentation the National Trust's buildings and outdoor spaces. You'll turn your practical hand to all sorts of cleaning and may include minor maintenance ensuring all our facilities are kept in good working order. You'll also be asked to help with some manual work such as unloading deliveries.
Duties such as cleaning, sweeping and litter picking will form a core part of the role, both inside and outdoors. You'll ensure the highest standards of customer service across the area by always implementing a ‘customer comes first' attitude. General maintenance work and helping within other teams may also form part of your role.
