Role Responsibilities

Client Management

Manage client financial records using accounting software like Xero and QuickBooks

Address client queries and help maintain strong client relationships

Assist with onboarding new clients, ensuring smooth and effective communication

Financial Statements & Taxation

Prepare working papers and draft financial statements for various clients, including sole traders, partnerships, and non-audit limited companies

Handle corporate, VAT, and personal tax returns, ensuring timely submissions and compliance

Coordinate with clients to meet statutory and filing deadlines

Team Development

Support and mentor junior and apprentice accountants, helping them refine their skills

Collaborate with managers to deliver a cohesive service across the team

Candidate Requirements

Education

Studying or qualified in AAT, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent pathways

Experience

Minimum of 3 years in a practice environment, managing a varied client portfolio

Familiarity with accounting software (Xero, Sage, QuickBooks) and Excel

Proficient in preparing financial statements and tax returns for review
