What ASEND Tuition Is

We are looking for inspirational tutors to support children and young people with SEND in High Wycombe. We support pupils with SEND who are not attending school for a number of reasons including Mental Health issues, or lack of a suitable school place. We aim to prepare them for their next steps whether it is a new school place, exams or adulthood.

We tutor pupils of all ages face-to-face within school times, and in a range of settings including homes, schools, community centres and out in the community. Our tuition is completely pupil-focused and can target developing early learning, following an academic curriculum, providing emotional support or developing life skills. We need a wide range of tutors to support our pupils to meet their specific needs and ensure good progress. We work very hard to match each tutor with pupils who can most benefit from their skills and expertise.

If you think this is not the right role for you, do still apply as we are always on the lookout for people with different expertise to work with our pupils in various locations.

About The Pupil

Our pupil is a friendly 15 year old young man who has some learning difficulties and struggles with attending school. He is motivated to do and will sit his GCSEs next summer and needs tuition to help him get up to speed from the time he has missed out in school. He is an ambitious young man who would like to eventually attend college to study coding or computing. He has a passion for basketball and gaming and loves watching movies. Being with peers and socialising are areas of his personal development that he will require some help with. We would love to find someone who can incorporate his interests into his learning to help him achieve his GCSEs and guide him with his social skills.

The ideal candidate should be someone who is easygoing and friendly and is comfortable with delivering lessons on a range of GCSE subjects. Someone with experience in using social stories would be helpful to build his resilience and confidence in interacting with others.
