**The Role

As a Workshop Engineer (Semi-Skilled), you will primarily be involved in stripping down Terberg shunter units for salvage and scrap. This hands-on role is perfect for someone with motor or mechanical experience looking to develop their skills in a supportive, dynamic team environment. We're seeking motivated individuals who are keen to grow, with opportunities to progress into more advanced repair work for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carefully remove parts from vehicles to identify salvageable components.
  • Safely operate machinery and hand tools while adhering to health & safety protocols.
  • Work closely within a team to support colleagues and maintain a tidy work area.
  • Perform a range of manual handling tasks and other duties as required.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, day shifts
  • No weekends

**What We're Looking For

  • Some mechanical experience and familiarity with tools such as axle stands and jacks.
  • A strong team player with good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop in the role, with potential to progress into advanced repair work.
  • Forklift licence and crane operation experience are desirable.
