Job Type: Full-time, Contract (12 months)

Working Pattern: Hybrid 2:3

Pay rate : Day rate of £650-£800, inside IR35.

Start Date: ASAP

We are partnered with one of London's largest transportation companies who are looking for a Senior Tax consultant to join their high performing finance team for a 12-month Contract. The successful candidate will lead the tax function, maintaining robust internal policies, processes/ controls and support all external tax reporting activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Tax Strategy and Compliance: Develop and manage the company's tax strategy to ensure compliance with all tax legislation.
  • Monitor and implement changes in tax legislation to protect the company's interests.
  • Governance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all tax governance requirements and develop a best-in-class governance framework.
  • Manage relationships with tax authorities and lobby on complex tax issues to influence and change tax legislation.
  • Provide high-quality tax advice on complex issues, including UK corporation tax.
  • Raise tax awareness across the business, embedding key tax checks and balances.
  • Oversee tax transparency disclosures, ensuring visibility of the company's Total Tax Contribution at the board level.
  • Prepare and present tax strategy and compliance papers to the Audit Committee.
  • Manage a team of 6 tax professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional excellence.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Qualified accountant (ACA or CTA).
  • Strong CT compliance background; year-end process experience is advantageous.
  • Strong technical tax expertise with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience in driving effective change in an evolving business.
  • Treasury tax experience is a plus but not essential.
  • OneSource experience advantageous but not required.
