As a "Hands-On" SHEQ Advisor from the construction or civil engineering sector, you will be passionate about all aspects of health and safety, along with a practical approach.
If you have a proven track record as a SHEQ Advisor and are local to the Somerset area, this is the opportunity for you.
YOUR NEW ROLE
- Plan inspections focusing on SHEQ compliance
- Working with project teams to deliver the highest HSE standards on all projects
- Managing contractors
- Making sure safe maintenance and risk management of all plant and materials on all projects worked
- Delivering bespoke/accredited training programmes and producing educational material
- Equipment inspections
- Leading incident investigations
- Potential for shift work
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate
- CSCS Card
- Knowledge and experience of groundwork and reinforced concrete frameworks
- Previous experience working HP
- Experienced in Incident Investigation and Root Cause Analysis
- Competent user of Microsoft Office - Word, PowerPoint, Excel
- Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- IEMA Certification (Advantageous)
- Temporary Works Coordinator (Advantageous)
- Experience in lifting equipment (Advantageous)
SALARY AND BENEFITS
- Basic salary £50,000 - £60,000 (depending upon experience)
- 31 days annual leave (inc BH)
- Death In Service (4X salary)
- 5% Company Pension / 4% Employee
