Warehouse Shift Leader

  • Salary: £33,000 Dependant on experience
  • Shift Pattern:3 on 3 off days, 12hr shifts, 7am-7pm
  • Location:Bradford, West Yorkshire
  • Hours Per Week:40 on average

Outline of Role:
You will manage daily operational resources, performance, and workload throughout the warehouse and supply chain. As part of the on-site management team, you will liaise with customers as necessary. You will also be responsible for controlling team briefings, training, development, and stock integrity control measures.

Essential Requirements to be successful in the role:
You will need to demonstrate:

  • Experience managing the warehouse function to ensure best practices, improve efficiencies, and service levels.
  • Ability to plan warehouse picking schedules and manage workload and labour.
  • Experience with team training, development, and implementing group HR and H&S policies.
  • Proven capability in managing stock integrity through the WMS system.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal management and external third-party carriers.
  • Ability to work within GDPR principles.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Previous experience in a similar warehousing role.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance standards (IS 9000/9001, 14000, 18000).
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety standards related to warehousing.
  • Excellent numeracy skills and the ability to understand and communicate written instructions.
  • Strong decision-making skills using data and information analysis.
  • Proven experience in leading teams and supervising staff.
  • Experience with warehouse systems and Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to plan workload schedules and assess staffing requirements.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Capability to delegate tasks effectively and monitor team outputs.
  • Must hold aCounterbalance and Reach Truck Licence.
