Project Sales Engineer East Midlands

Region: NG, LN, LE, DE, Parts of S and PE

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that set monthly and yearly targets are achieved.
  • Proactively maintain and generate new business and enquiries through existing and new customers.
  • Ensuring all designs are carried out through the design office
  • Effective and self-sufficient time/diary management
  • Provide excellent customer service to all clients
  • Key Account Manage clients and prospective clients in your allocated area- arranging quotes, holding margin, oversee order entry and project management
  • Work with your line manager to create and implement sales strategies
  • Answer all telephone & e-mail enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that your project bank is kept up to date
  • Be able to forward forecast for your area to help with the buying/product forecasting
  • Proactively book and conduct presentations to your customer base regularly

Additional Responsibilities

  • To ensure that all procedures and policies are adhered to as instructed
  • To undertake any necessary training for your development
  • Be prepared to assist other departments as and when requested
  • Carry out any other duties requested of you
  • Be prepared to work extra hours if required
  • Be prepared to travel nationally with nights out

Knowledge

Good lighting knowledge (preferably)

The knowledge of the specification sales process/construction industry

Skill Requirement

Good Teamwork skills

Computer Literate

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to deal with contacts at all levels

Good organisational skills

Experience

A proven track record in sales and previous success in achieving sales targets and KPI's, experience in the

lighting & construction industry would be an advantage but not essential.

Must be located within the region indicated with full rights to work in the UK and a full drivers licence.
