We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a passionate Computer Science Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in Biggleswade from September 2024. This permanent role is ideal for an educator who is dedicated to inspiring students and enhancing their learning experience through innovative teaching methods.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver high-quality, engaging Computer Science lessons, tailored to a diverse student body.
  • Employ Assessment for Learning strategies to monitor and promote student progress.
  • Set stimulating tasks that encourage student interest and elevate standards of attainment and behaviour.
  • Align teaching with the curriculum, aiming to unlock every student's full potential.
  • Create a learning environment that values students' skills and experiences, fostering independent learning.
  • Maintain a dynamic and well-resourced teaching area.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver a cohesive curriculum.
  • Uphold good discipline, recognising and rewarding student progress.
  • Mark, assess, and moderate coursework in accordance with examination board standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • A robust academic background in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Experience in teaching, ideally obtained through teacher training.
  • Familiarity with the current curriculum and SEN Code of Practice.
  • Right to work in the UK.
