Reed Finance have partnered with our client who are seeking a Management Accountant to join their finance team. Ideally they are looking for a fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA finance professional, with experience either in a commercial setting or with a firm of chartered accountants.
Day-to-day of the role:
Management Accounting
- Liaising with sales, sourcing, and operations teams to prepare sales & margin reports and sales forecasts.
- Maintaining accurate costing sheets for products.
- Preparing a weekly purchase order log.
- Reviewing periodical stock reports and monitoring the optimum and efficient use of stocks and warehouses.
Financial Accounting
- Assisting the Financial Controller with the preparation of monthly/quarterly accounts and ensuring compliance with bank and brand owners.
- Conducting variance analysis of operating expenses and taking corrective action in liaison with functional managers.
- Preparing weekly/quarterly cash flow statements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Fully qualified ACA, CIMA, or ACCA.
- 3-5 years of experience in management/financial accounting.
- Proficiency in SAGE 200 or an equivalent accounting package.
- Experience with an ERP System and advanced Excel skills.
- Ability to work to strict deadlines with strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate with non-financial managers.
