We are seeking an Assistant Director Property to lead our property teams, overseeing the implementation of responsive repairs, voids, compliance, health and safety, procurement and asset management, supporting the Operations Director in operational and strategic management ensuring the development and delivery of effective, efficient, and responsive management of our property portfolio to meet the needs of our customers. Working at pace is important.

As Assistant Director Property, you'll be at the forefront with your Heads of Service of our mission to ensure our land and buildings portfolio is fit for purpose, safe, compliant, and cost-effective, supporting service teams in delivering their mandates efficiently.

The successful candidate will have;

  • Proven experience of setting budgets and managing resource allocation, and stakeholder engagement, with a focus on delivering efficient and effective services
  • In-depth understanding of Asset Management, property performance and proportional investment ensuring finite financial resources are utilised in the right place at the right time
  • Be commercially astute and can demonstrate ability to align and prioritise property investment need to an affordable business plan.
  • Proven ability to translate complex and sensitive information and communicating it effectively and appropriately to a range of audiences
  • Have knowledge of housing law and policy
  • Experience in business planning, quality assurance and risk management
  • Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant property field (Essential)
  • Corporate Membership of a relevant professional body e.g., CIOB, RIBA, RICS (Desirable)
  • NEBOSH Construction Management and Fire Safety Certification (Desirable)
