Leading independent supplier of construction products, is looking for an HR Advisor to join our dynamic team. With a reputation for fast, reliable service and exceptional customer care, we are seeking an individual who can contribute to our HR department with their expertise and proactive approach.

Day to day of the role:

  • Assist with talent acquisition, recruitment processes, and onboarding.
  • Provide HR support and advice on various topics to employees.
  • Promote and implement HR programs to ensure an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
  • Develop and implement HR policies and manage performance.
  • Maintain employee records using our HR platform and report on HR metrics.
  • Update company policies, ensure compliance, and promote employee benefits to enhance engagement.
  • Manage ER case load and day-to-day HR management, reporting to the HR Manager.
  • Conduct right to work and DBS checks, manage absence procedures, and support employee health and wellbeing.
  • Handle maternity, paternity, and parental leave management, OH consultations, and exit interviews.
  • Contribute to the development of the HR platform and continuous improvement of HR practices.
  • Visit depots as required, advise on training and development, and assist with payroll administration.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years of HR experience.
  • Understanding of general HR policies and procedures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
  • CIPD Level 5 qualification.
  • Experience with grievance, disciplinary, and capability cases.
  • Good understanding of Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI).
  • Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification.
  • Excellent communication, active listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity and problem-solving aptitude.
  • Adaptable, resilient, and proactive in approach.
