About the Role: We are seeking a dedicated IT Network & Software Infrastructure Manager to oversee and maintain our client's IT network and software infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security. This role involves managing servers, telephone systems, Office 365, networks, and firewalls, while ensuring compliance with ISO 27001 standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Active Directory & System Security Management:

  • Manage local Active Directory and system security settings.

  • Add, edit, and remove users from the network.

  • Manage security settings for files and folders according to roles and projects.

  • Ensure all PCs, servers, and hardware are patched with necessary security updates.

Network Ownership:

  • Oversee computer networks, firewalls, servers, and desktops.

  • Monitor systems to identify and implement performance improvements.

  • Ensure hardware support contracts are current.

ISO 27001 Compliance:

  • Own and maintain all 27001 policies and procedures related to IT.

  • Train staff on security policies and procedures.

  • Implement security management in accordance with policies and procedures.

  • Participate in 27001 audits to demonstrate compliance.

Hardware & Software Management:

  • Provide budgeting forecasts for hardware systems and upgrades.

  • Manage purchasing according to budget and procedures.

  • Log assets, including hardware allocation to users.

  • Ensure all hardware, software, and users are licensed appropriately.

Local System Support:

  • Manage a ticketing system for IT support requests.

  • Respond to support requests in a timely manner.

  • Assist development teams with CI/CD pipelines.

  • Support testing teams with provisioning test environments.

  • Handle system builds and updates.

External IT Support Coordination:

  • Identify external IT support requirements and KPIs.

  • Ensure external IT support adheres to contract requirements.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

  • Ensure data backup and DR processes are maintained and tested regularly with external IT support.

Office 365 Administration:

  • Administer Microsoft systems including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Azure EntraID.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in an IT Management role.
  • Microsoft certified support experience.
  • Proven experience in managing networks and network security.
  • Experience managing own workload and prioritising tasks.
  • Best practice knowledge for managing information security.
  • Working knowledge of ISO 27001 is advantageous.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership and strategic thinking abilities.
  • Attention to detail and commitment to key milestones and deliverables.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and skill development.
