This customer-facing role is integral to our operations, offering variety and the opportunity to promote and protect our top-quality products and brand.

Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm. A competitive salary, free parking, and a company pension scheme are offered.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Arrange pre-construction visits to explain the building process to customers.
  • Oversee test digs, conduct final base checks post-build, photograph, and sign off as satisfactory. Operating area will be from North Yorkshire to south Nottingham and Leicestershire.
  • Identify potential site issues before construction starts and provide cost effective solutions that meet the customers and company requirements.
  • Manage several teams of builders, ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation, relevant insurances and qualifications, and maintaining the highest building standards.
  • Investigate and resolve unforeseen onsite issues, coordinating solutions with subcontractors and liaising with customers and in-house quantity surveyors.
  • Assist the Installation department in resolving onsite problems and maintaining quality.
  • Schedule inspection and follow-up appointments to resolve building issues.
  • Provide quality control reports to the installation department and database.
  • Ensure the site is left tidy, with no additional work needed for the customer.
  • Handle trade's remedial works and allocate tenders alongside the Contracts Manager.
  • Ensure all required information is issued for projects under building regulation and facilitate necessary site visits by JHAI.

Person Attributes:

  • Previous experience in construction and building, with a sound knowledge of current building regulations.
  • Proficiency and positive approach to the use of IT, and with training, the ability to learn and embrace new software.
  • Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings.
  • Extensive knowledge of surveying and building.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, and project management skills.
  • Strong negotiation skills, focusing on budget achievement and profitability.
  • Effective problem-solving and commercial acumen.
  • Strong communication and people management skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with initiative and a positive "can-do" attitude.
  • Clean driving licence and willingness to travel.
