The Procurement Project Specialist role is integral for overseeing procurement projects, ensuring efficient supply chain processes within the technology and telecoms sector. Description

  • Lead the Vendor Optimisation Programme:

  • Take charge of the programme aimed at optimising our vendor base to draw more value and reduce costs.

  • Understand and manage the intricacies of our vendor relationships, working closely with procurement, finance, and other programmatic environments.

  • Vendor Management:

  • Optimise relationships with over 350 vendors, with a particular focus on the top 20 vendors

  • Implement strategies to consolidate vendor relationships

  • Act as a gatekeeper to challenge and streamline vendor engagement processes.

  • Data and Spend Analysis:

  • Conduct thorough analysis of our procurement activities, understanding what we buy, how much we spend, and identifying areas for cost savings.

  • Work with large data sets, spreadsheets, and flow of information to source and manage data effectively.

  • Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Collaborate closely with product managers and other colleagues to ensure alignment and effective communication.

  • Engage with various departments to gather requirements and provide solutions that meet business needs.

  • Procurement Strategy:

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with the company's ambitious goals.

  • Drive the creation of a vendor contracts database to streamline and centralise vendor information.

  • Problem Solving and Innovation:

  • Proactively identify and solve problems, providing innovative solutions to enhance vendor management and procurement processes.

  • Ensure that all activities are conducted at a pace that meets the expectations of the C-Suite.

Profile

  • Proven experience in procurement, vendor management, and programmatic delivery.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to work with big data and spreadsheets.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Detail-oriented with a relentless drive for results and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Knowledge of procurement processes and vendor optimisation strategies.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
