Transport Planner
Monday to Friday
Our Client have a new fulltime permanent vacancy to join their existing transport team.
The role is responsible for the day to day coordination of the fleet and drivers, as a strong communicator, you should have a positive attitude and be willing to work in a vibrant and fast paced environment. You'll need excellent people skills, the ability to multi-task and have a keen eye for detail.
Duties to include:
To produce the most efficient transport plans of a mixed fleet of vehicles
Efficient allocation of drivers, vehicle, trailers etc
Communicating regularly with drivers about jobs
The use of vehicle tracking software to ensure jobs run efficiently
Dealing with any vehicle / driver scheduling problems
Professional communication with internal and external customers
