As an Accountant, you'll take charge of crucial tasks including management account packs, year-end accounts, compliance, and tax returns, all under the guidance of the experienced Practice Manager. This full-time role also offers options for reduced hours, providing flexibility to suit your needs.
Reporting to the Practice Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Preparation of year-end accounts
- Producing management account packs
- Compliance with appropriate regulations
- Quarterly and annual corporate tax returns
- Personal tax returns
- Resolving queries for a range of clients
- Client-facing responsibilities, such as onboarding and arranging meetings with new clients
What you will need:
- Proven experience in a similar role, such as Accountant / Practice Accountant / Accounts Senior / Senior Accountant
- This role is all about skill over qualification, but AAT / ACCA / ACA would be a bonus
- Experience working within an accountancy practice in a similar role
- A steady and methodical mindset
- Familiarity with Xero software is a plus
- A supportive and collaborative approach
