Job Title: Interim Cost Accountant
Location: Leicestershire
Duration: c2 months
Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interim Cost Accountant for position based in Leicestershire.
Working in their Finance Team, this is an exciting opportunity to join their business for a 2-month period and contribute to the financial stability and growth of our business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Profitability and Pricing Analysis: Coordinate and execute profitability and pricing analysis by product and customer segment.
- Revenue and Margin Reporting: Provide detailed revenue and margin analysis reports, enabling the senior management team to make informed decisions to secure future stability, growth, and profitability.
- Data and Reporting: Ensure the provision of accurate and timely data and reporting on a weekly basis.
- Strategic Insight: Prepare analysis, business cases, scenario planning, and provide strategic insight to enhance decision-making processes.
- Leadership Support: Act as a sounding board and provide challenges to the business unit leadership team.
- Project involvement: Building reports relating to new business proposals
Experience Required:
- Proven experience gained from a strong accounting background plus prior experience in costing, financial analysis, and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong Excel skills macros, pivots and look ups experience as an absolute minimum, & if you have sql, even better!
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
As this a 2mnth role initially, they require someone who is available within the next 1-2wks, & it will be office based due to the role requirements.
