SIMS Administrator

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SIMS Administrator to join our vibrant team at a Mainstream Secondary School located in Croydon. As a SIMS Administrator, you will play a vital role in managing and maintaining our school's student information system to ensure efficient and accurate data management.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the day-to-day management of the school's Student Information Management System (SIMS), including data entry, record maintenance, and system updates.
  • Ensure accurate recording and reporting of student attendance, behaviour, assessments, and academic progress within SIMS.
  • Manage the registration and admissions process, including the creation and maintenance of student records and associated documentation.
  • Generate a variety of reports from SIMS, providing timely and accurate data to school staff, parents, and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to provide training and support in the use of SIMS, ensuring they are proficient in recording and accessing relevant information.
  • Support the examination process by inputting and maintaining exam-related data, assisting with the production of timetables, and providing administrative support during exam periods.
  • Assist with the coordination of school events and trips, ensuring relevant data and information is accurately recorded within SIMS.
  • Maintain the confidentiality and security of all student records and information in compliance with data protection regulations.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with SIMS, or a similar Student Information Management System is essential.
  • Strong organisational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent data entry and analytical skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, for data manipulation and report generation.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks, and meeting deadlines.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact with a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Experience in school administration or an educational setting is desired.

We offer a competitive hourly rate ranging from £12.00 to £16.00, depending on experience and qualifications. This is a full-time, long-term position, providing stability and the opportunity to contribute to the success of our school community.
