As a Product Manager, you will play a crucial role in shaping the product portfolio and driving market success. Your responsibilities will include overseeing product development, aligning with market trends, and managing the entire product lifecycle. Responsibilities for this Product Manager role include:

  • Manage end-to-end product cycles: Oversee all stages of the product lifecycle ensuring each stage is executed efficiently and effectively to meet project goals.
  • Source new factories and suppliers: Identify and establish relationships with new factories and suppliers to optimise production costs, enhance product quality, and maximise profitability for the business.
  • Ensure client quality, compliance, and delivery expectations: Maintain rigorous standards to ensure that all product stages adhere to client specifications, industry regulations, and delivery timelines, guaranteeing client satisfaction and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain strong client relationships: Foster and nurture relationships with key clients, ensuring clear communication and understanding of their needs, and delivering projects with precision and attention to detail.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives: Lead efforts to incorporate sustainability into the product lifecycle, promoting eco-friendly practices and materials both within the company and with external partners, to meet growing environmental and consumer demands.
  • Utilise P&L analysis: Apply Profit and Loss analysis to monitor and increase profit margins within product ranges, using financial insights to make informed decisions and drive business growth.
  • Negotiate cost and payment terms with suppliers: Engage in strategic negotiations with suppliers to secure favourable cost and payment terms, reducing expenses and improving profitability.
  • Proactively source new products and suppliers: Continuously seek out innovative products and reliable suppliers to diversify and enhance the company's product offerings, staying ahead of market trends.
  • Implement and manage digital platforms and critical path trackers: Deploy and oversee the use of digital tools and systems to track product development stages, ensuring transparency, efficiency, and timely project completion.
  • Apply Agile methodologies: Implement Agile principles to streamline product development, improving speed to market, reducing approval stages, and enhancing flexibility to adapt to client needs.
  • Achieve high on-time delivery rates: Ensure a consistent on-time delivery rate of 98% or higher, demonstrating the company's reliability and commitment to meeting client deadlines.
  • Collaborate with design teams: Work closely with design teams to generate new product ideas that meet customer requirements, continually improving existing ranges and introducing innovative solutions to the market.

Skills & experience required:

  • 3+ years product development + management experience within gifting, homewares or consumer products
  • Experience working closely with a global supplier base
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to multitask at a high level
  • Analytical and numeric with strong excel skills
  • Process and procedure driven, strives for improvements and hitting deadlines
  • Professional with a collaborative approach and is comfortable with managing communication at all levels
  • Thrives in a fast-paced role and environment
