Job Purpose:

The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee the operation of our café, ensuring an exceptional experience for all our customers and guests. This role is responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and secure environment, driving revenue, and managing key performance indicators (KPIs) related to food and beverage. The primary focus is on delivering "Brilliant Basics," which includes food safety, hygiene standards, a friendly and knowledgeable team, and a clean and customer-centric atmosphere. The food and beverage manager will empower their team to create meaningful moments for our guests and work closely with the Experience Manager to coordinate food preparation for events and parties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain consistently excellent customer service and engagement standards within the hospitality department.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain staff, ensuring a knowledgeable and motivated team.
  • Manage stock effectively, including GP controls, ordering, tracking, counting, and minimizing wastage.
  • Ensure food preparation and service adhere to food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Maintain compliance with industry standards, guidelines, and due diligence documentation.
  • Uphold brand standards across the department.
  • Empower all staff, including cleaners, to engage with customers and enhance their experience.
  • Responsible for alcohol license compliance.
  • Handle customer queries or complaints effectively and professionally.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hospitality management role.
  • Proficiency in financial data analysis and KPI management.
  • Experience in team management and leadership.
  • Excellent customer service and engagement skills.
  • Working knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards.
  • Tech-savvy with familiarity with core Microsoft applications.
  • Level 3 food safety qualification.
  • IOSH qualification (desirable).
  • Background in service-led industries, such as adventure parks or leisure parks (desirable).
  • Personal license holder (desirable).
