Import & Export Coordinator

Relocruitment are delighted to be working alongside a well-established fine art shipping & logistics firm based in Sunbury. Our client provides packing, shipping and white glove services across London and the rest of the UK.

They pride themselves on their superior service and the personal touch they bring into every job.

They are now seeking an Import & Export Coordinator to join the Operations Team. This role will support the General Manager to ensure the smooth running of all Import and Export operations for the company.

You will coordinate every aspect of the shipping process, including the handling of documentation related to import and export processes, ensuring compliance with international regulations and standards.

Main Duties:

  • Coordinating shipping logistics and ensuring that all shipments are on schedule
  • Booking collections and deliveries ensuring that all customer requests are fulfilled
  • Keeping track of shipment locations and providing high quality customer service to resolve any issues that may occur during the shipping process, such as shipment delays, disputes, and lost shipments
  • Liaising with customs agents, warehouse staff, freight forwarders, and clients
  • Maintain and organise import and export records
  • Preparing and processing important shipping documentation such as invoices, packing lists, and cargo control documents whilst ensuring compliance with international shipping regulations and laws (customs and tax)
  • Prepare and submit required documentation for international shipments
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of relevant laws and regulations, and ensuring all transactions comply with these rules
  • Completing billing of all jobs on the required system

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Export and Import Coordinator or similar role
  • Knowledge of import/export laws and regulations
  • Ability to handle and prioritise multiple tasks while maintaining attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well with a team
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management software
