Your new company Hays are working with a leading manufacturing specialist known for their innovative products and dynamic market presence. They are seeking an experienced Qualified Interim Financial Controller to join the team for a 6-month contract to support the financial operations. They are offering an interesting and challenging role, a positive working environment working with international teams.
Key Duties:
- Reporting into the CFO and MD
- Managing a small team
- Strong Management Accounting skills
- Oversee all financial operations and direct corporate financial planning and structure.
- Manage the preparation of financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the budgeting process and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights to support business decisions.
- Liaise with external auditors and manage audit processes.
- Implement and maintain robust financial controls and procedures.
What you'll need to succeed
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in financial software, SAP is essential and high levels of Excel.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- ACA, CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent certification preferred.
