Accounts Payable Clerk

Kenny Recruit are actively recruiting for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join a highly reputable care company, on a permanent basis. The company has been built through acquisition and organic growth from its first site in London to 40 + services in South-East England. Recently acquired by new investors, they have a clear growth strategy to grow within existing markets and expand out to new geographies over the next 3-4 years.

This position will work with the Accounts Payable Manager and you will be fully involved with the AP process for multiple sites across the business. Once proven in the role there will be opportunities to progress within the business.

Pay: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits
Location: Central London - 3 days per week in the office
Working hours: 9.00am - 6.00pm.

Key Duties:

  • To ensure all purchase invoices are coded and approved correctly in accordance with set approval levels for all homes
  • To ensure petty cash and bank reconciliations are carried out accurately each month
  • To ensure that all invoices received correctly account for VAT
  • Setting up manual payments as requested by Home Managers
  • Management of employee business expense claims
  • Respond to queries and look after the AP inbox
  • Ensuring all purchase documentation is correctly recorded within the accounts system
  • Setting up weekly payment runs for all entities, as well as ad hoc payments outside of this
  • Posting all bank payments within the accounts system on a timely basis, ensuring they are correctly allocated
  • To provide support to the Accounts Payable Manager
  • Undertake any other relevant duties or reasonable requests as requested by any member of the senior management team

Skills/Experience/Requirements:

  • Effective team player with a positive 'can-do' attitude
  • Good, clear communication skills
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Minimum 6 months prior experience in a payables
  • Knowledge of Sage 200 and/or Xero desirable
  • Ability to be able to manage a high volume of work effectively
