Unipart Logistics (UL) has secured a contract to run the new, custom-built Jaguar Land Rover Global Parts Logistics Centre at Appleby Magna in Leicestershire. The operation will be housed at Jaguar Land Rover's new Mercia Park campus, one of the largest UK warehouse developments for a single customer. With a multimillion-pound major facility investment program already underway, we would like you to join us now to be part of the successful implementation of what is said to be the largest automotive logistics project in the UK.

As the HR Consultant, you will provide support to the site across all areas, particularly within reward, engagement, capability and resourcing. You will be dealing with both management and colleagues on a daily basis.

As part of your key responsibilities you'll:

  • Provide HR consultative support and coaching to management team members to ensure their capability is exceptional in dealing with all people related matters
  • Advise, coach and guide line managers with regards to reward, pay & benefits
  • Deputise for the HRBP/HRM where required
  • Represent the HR Team at relevant meetings where appropriate
  • Be an ambassador for HR across the business and with clients
  • Actively support the site with the organisation of the annual Employee Engagement Survey, including conducting and analysing pulse checks, facilitation of feedback sessions and coaching managers in the delivery of subsequent action plans
  • ·Manage the recruitment process for U-Grade (management) positions across the site, from vacancy design/approvals to offer, working with the Talent Acquisition team to ensure candidates have a positive experience throughout
  • Promote and support site based capability and succession management activities, coaching managers in the use of MRiTB, competency framework and succession planning tools; proactively supporting and building the talent plan to ensure all competency risks are known, managed and planned for
  • Deliver HR training modules and other training and development activities in conjunction with the HR Advisors and the Capability team
  • Lead the HR element of all site/within Sector based change programmes / projects both planned and as they occur (TUPE, Restructure, Redundancy, shift changes), ensuring effective employee communication and engagement is maintained throughout and following the process
  • Support the HR Business Partners in tender processes for new business, Develop and maintain excellent relationships with the department's internal and external customers / suppliers
  • Conduct audits of the on-site temporary recruitment agency to ensure compliance with UL service level agreement (SLA) and legislation
  • Review and discuss required actions related to analysis from weekly and monthly management information (MI) with senior site managers, providing insight and assistance to drive improvements across sites

About You

  • A related qualification would be advantageous (ideally A-level equivalent or above)
