Reed Accountancy & Finance are delighted to be working with a well-established client in North Shields who are looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their team on a full time, permanent basis.
Working in a close-knit team, your main responsibilities will include:
- Processing new supply purchases and reviewing invoices for accuracy and proper formatting.
- Creating credit accounts with new suppliers to facilitate payments.
- Adding new suppliers' details to the system.
- Processing payments.
- Calculating VAT owed on purchased items.
- Tracking the value of impending payments to suppliers.
- Reconciling supplier statements.
- Dealing with purchase enquiries.
- Processing staff expenses.
- Managing outgoing transactions to ensure they are authorised and processed correctly.
The ideal candidate will:
- Have at least 2 years' experience in a similar accountancy role.
- Have the ability to work as part of a team and take direction accurately.
- Be an analytical thinker and problem solver.
- Have great administrative skills.
