We are looking for a General Teaching Assistant with a real passion for helping children and young people with SEN and SEMH needs. The ideal candidate will be qualified/experience. Newly qualified Level 2 and Level 3 Teaching Assistants are welcome to apply.

- Location- Newcastle Upon Tyne
- Position- General Classroom Assistant
- Position start date - ASAP
- Contract type- Long-Term/Chance of becoming permanent
- Minimum rate of pay Minimum rate GBP85 per day
- Hours 8:30 am 3:30pm : Mon Fri (term time only)
Responsibilities:
- Support and scaffold children in the classroom.
- Prepare resources with the teacher.
- Work effectively in Partnership with other professionals and parents/carers.
- Able to adapt practice to support the varied needs of children.
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Level 2/Level 3 childcare qualification.
- 6 months minimum experience working in a school
- GCSE English and Maths grade C
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
- Provide two professional child related references
