Our client, a leading company based in the heart of Liverpool is seeking an experienced and skilled Senior Data Engineer to join their team. This permanent position offers excellent career development opportunities within a dynamic work environment.

Senior Data Engineer Position - Liverpool - Hybrid - Up to £85,000 + Benefits

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop and maintain complex data pipelines
  • Extracting insights from large datasets using statistical analysis techniques
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams on various projects related to big data analytics
  • Developing new algorithms/models that will improve existing processes

Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum 5 years' experience as a senior software engineer or similar roles.
  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Computer Science/Statistics/Mathematics/Data Analytics or equivalent field

Skills required:

The successful candidate should possess expertise/experience/knowledge/skills around these areas;

  • Strong proficiency programming language Python
  • Solid experience with PySpark
  • Experience working with distributed computing systems like Hadoop/Hive/Pig/Spark/Flink/Kafka etc.,
  • Knowledge of SQL-based databases(MS-SQL Server / MySQL / Oracle).
  • Expertise working across different database architectures including NoSQL frameworks such as MongoDB, Cassandra, HBase & Couchbase
  • Familiarity with ETL tools like Talend, Airflow, Luigi, Kettle, Pentaho
  • Experience with TDD / Clean Coding / SOLID Principals

Salary Details:

This exciting opportunity comes at £85,000 annually which includes other benefits.
