Data Transformation Project Manager - MI/BI

My client, a Consultancy organisation, are looking for a Data Transformation Project Manager for an initial 6 Month Contract.

The role is paying for £500 P/D AND OUTSIDE of IR35.

The project team are completing a beta build and form 1/5th of a broader transformation programme.

The project will deliver data pipelines, infrastructure and a self-serve internal MI/BI reporting platform for advanced data insights across the clients operations.

The main objective for this role is to provide oversight, challenge, and course correction of the project team. The project team includes resources from the client and a big-4 consultant delivery partner that require careful management so a depth of experience and brilliant people skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Responsible for the overall maintenance and control of the MI / BI workstream management plans, including the following areas:

  • Reporting
  • Risk and issue management
  • Dependency management
  • Planning and controlling of activity
  • Resource management and tracking
  • Change control
  • Support of project ceremonies
  • Milestone project planning, reporting and dashboards
  • Oversight of Agile sprint planning and milestone reporting
  • Managing change control for elements such as high-level prioritisation, deliverables or RAIDDs
  • Knowledge transfer of best practice project management planning monitoring and control techniques to client staff
  • Cross functional management to ensure alignment, momentum, and delivery of the transformation vision
  • Financial forecasting and oversight of work within MI / BI workstream
  • An effectively managed MI / BI workstream, that provides high confidence to client that the eco system will deliver to time, cost, and quality
  • Effective documented control around risk, issues, and decisions to support inputs and outputs of MI /BI workstream
  • Our delivery approach and ways of working are openly challenged and continuously improved
  • Our workstreams are collaborating effectively and issues are identified and resolved quickly to breakdown siloes
  • The Programme is delivered to the required quality at lowest cost and in shortest timescale
  • Work within MI/BI workstream is developed repeatable team structures, to established processes and in line with client governance
