Working the normal office hours of 9-5 Monday to Friday you will be part of a small team who are part of a growing business.
This role has come about due to an expansion and the need for support to the operational activities.
You will be required to ensure that there is an accurate amount of stock ordered and produced to meet demand, whilst keeping capacity in mind.
You will directly report into the Operations Manager, but will liaise with various internal departments and external suppliers.
You will be
- purchasing stock
- negotiating prices
- planning and scheduling the replenishment of raw and finished stock
- ensuring batch/date data is taken into consideration, to reduce waste
- raising PO numbers
- updating products, suppliers, and price lists
- following up with suppliers on delivery times and dates
You will need
- experience in a similar role - planner and buyer - ideally within automotive, pharma or food
- to be analytical - looking at data to foresee stock needs - looking at trends, costs and the whys
- be organised with strong attention to detail
- excellent IT skills, especially Excel and the ability to use ERP Systems
