Partner Financial are supporting a dynamic and expanding Renewable Energy company focused on transforming the European energy landscape. Driven by a mission to lead the transition to clean energy, the company is dedicated to investing in and managing innovative renewable projects that embody a deep commitment to environmental stewardship and sustainability.
This is a newly created role to support the business' expanding renewable portfolio and investments, the Investment Analyst will work predominantly on the UK portfolio initially and will play a key part in strengthening the company's assets in the region and contribute to strengthening its investment capability.
Key responsibilities:
- Developing, maintain, and update complex financial models for their portfolio of renewable energy assets to support valuation and performance forecasting;
- Conducting detailed scenario analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the impact of market conditions, regulatory changes, and operational risks on project financials;
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual performance reports for UK assets, providing insights into financial and operational performance against key metrics;
- Drafting, compiling, and presenting investment committee papers for proposed UK investments, including financial summaries, market insights, and risk assessments;
- Working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure committee papers are comprehensive, accurate, and align with the company's investment criteria and objectives;
- Monitoring changes in the energy market, such as subsidies, incentives, and energy pricing, which may impact asset profitability and future opportunities;
- Supporting portfolio management activities, focusing on value enhancement and risk mitigation for different assets;
- Identifying opportunities for financial and operational improvements in existing projects to maximise returns and align with the business' sustainability goals.
The ideal candidate:
- Strong understanding of renewable energy project finance, asset valuation, and industry-specific financial metrics.
- Experience in renewable energy, with a strong focus on financial analysis, project finance, or investments.
- Exceptional financial modelling skills with advanced Excel proficiency; ability to build, maintain, and troubleshoot complex models.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a proven track record of preparing investment committee papers.
- Effective team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
