Customer Service Advisor

We are seeking a Customer Service Advisor to join our clients team based in Southampton on a temporary basis. The main purpose of this role is to maintain and increase customer retention levels while providing excellent customer service and actively promoting the benefits to current and prospective members.

Day to Day of the role:

  • Retain and renew customers through outbound telephone calls, ensuring members have a full understanding of membership benefits.
  • Provide supportive and tactful customer service, handling member complaints and enquiries with a high level of professionalism.
  • Work towards individual and team targets on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Maintain accurate details on the database and document outcomes.
  • Identify and suggest new practices or modifications to existing practices to increase sales.
  • Report regularly on retention figures to ensure accuracy and up-to-date information.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in sales, upselling or a related field is desirable.
  • Ability to work to a high standard with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Developed customer service techniques and the ability to handle objections during calls.
  • Effective communication skills and exceptional people skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Competent IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel, and experience using large membership databases.
  • Willingness to work unsocial hours, including some weekends if required.
