Higher Level Teaching Assistant Secondary School Location: Coventry, CV3 Payscale: £110-130 per day Duration: Long-term to Permanent Start Date: September 2024
LTF Recruitment are delighted to be working with a large secondary school in Coventry, who are looking for a competent Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. In this role, your key responsibilities as a HLTA will be based in and around the classroom, supporting the class teacher. This will include making sure correct behaviour is adhered to at all times, working with small groups and 1:1 interventions. A successful candidate will also be required to cover classes in the absence of a class teacher as well as plan and run their own interventions with specific groups of children. A sound knowledge of the curriculum will be needed, as well as a good knowledge of strategies to best support SEN children.
The right candidate:
- Has the relevant degree or HLTA qualification.
- Has 1 years' experience within an education setting
- Extensive SEN knowledge.
- Experience working 1:1
- Has a sound working knowledge of the National Curriculum/ can learn content as appropriate.
- Can effectively build relationships with children quickly.
