Michael Page Logistics have partnered with a key player in the contract logistics in recruiting for a new Transport Contract Manager in their site based in Oxfordshire. The Transport Contract Manager plays a crucial role in managing and overseeing contracts in the logistics department and it involves ensuring all contracts are executed effectively and profitably.

Description

The successful Transport Contract Manager will have the following duties and responsibilities

  • Managing and overseeing one of the major company contracts
  • Ensuring contract terms are fulfilled in a timely manner
  • Handling contract negotiations and agreements
  • Collaborating closely with the logistics department for contract execution
  • Identifying opportunities for new contracts and partnerships
  • Ensuring contracts are profitable and align with company goals
  • Implementing strategies to improve contract management processes
  • Maintaining a comprehensive record of all contracts and related documents
  • ensuring vehicle repairs and maintenance costs are monitorely effectively

Profile

A successful Transport Contract Manager should have:

  • Proven experience in transport contract management or a related role within logistics, distribution or 3PL operation
  • Excellent negotiation and communication skills
  • Strong understanding of contracts and legal terminology
  • Proficiency in using and utilising any WMS and TMS
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Transport Manager CPC is advantageous but not a must
