Position: Level 3 Teaching Assistant (Year 1 Class)
Location: Burnley
Contract: Full-time, Fixed-term (1 Year)

Our Year 1 class is eager to welcome a passionate and skilled Teaching Assistant to support their learning journey.

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Level 3 Teaching Assistant in our Year 1 class, you will:

  • Assist the classroom teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
  • Support individual and small group learning activities.
  • Help develop and implement tailored phonics programs, with a focus on Red Rose Phonics.
  • Monitor and record students' progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Participate in school activities and continuous professional development.

Requirements:

  • Qualification: Level 3 Teaching Assistant certification or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience working with children in a primary school setting, particularly Year 1.
  • Phonics Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in teaching phonics, ideally with Red Rose Phonics.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attributes: Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within a primary school.
  • Ability to adapt to various educational needs and learning styles.
