User-Centred Transformation Manager/Lead

Location: London ideally but will consider other UK locations such as (Edinburgh, Manchester) 1 day per week onsite.

Our global banking client is dedicated to transforming the way we deliver our products and services by placing users at the heart of everything we do. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced User-Centred Transformation Manager/Lead to join our team and drive our user-focused transformation initiatives.

6-month initial contract but project to run until the end of 2027

Role Overview:
The User-Centred Transformation Manager/Lead will be responsible for leading the transformation projects that prioritise user experience and engagement. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, understanding user needs, and implementing strategies that enhance user satisfaction and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

-Lead the design, planning, and execution of transformation initiatives with a strong focus on user-centred design and methodologies.
-Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and align them with user needs.
-Conduct user research and gather insights to inform project direction and decision-making.
-Develop and implement user-centred design strategies that enhance the overall user experience.
-Facilitate workshops and brainstorming sessions to drive innovative solutions and foster a user-centric culture within the organisation.
-Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of transformation initiatives and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
-Communicate project progress, challenges, and successes to senior management and other stakeholders.
-Manage, mentor, and provide training to a team of UX designers, researchers, and other professionals involved in user-centred projects.

Qualifications:

-Bachelor's degree in User Experience Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Business Administration, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
-5+ years of experience in user-centred design, transformation projects, or a similar role.
-Proven track record of successfully leading transformation initiatives with a focus on user experience.
-Strong understanding of user research methodologies, UX design principles, and usability testing.
-Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
-Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
-Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
-Proficiency in UX design tools.
-Experience in Agile or Lean methodologies is a plus.
