Digital Communications Manager

September to December 2024 - fixed term contract, possible extension.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Communications Consultant to devise and implement internal and external communications and engagement plans.
  • To manage and publish on the company's digital communication platforms, notably the intranet, and provide input into the corporate external-facing website and LinkedIn account.
  • Working closely with leaders across the business to agree on communication priorities, identify opportunities, draft materials, and plan for the successful implementation of business projects and change programmes.
  • Planning, producing, and delivering tactical communication and engagement activities that support business priorities.
  • Responsible for deputising for the Communications Consultant, as required, and leading the planning and delivery of engagement and communication campaigns.
  • Ability to manage and engage with external agencies that host digital channel platforms.
  • Create and curate impactful campaigns that tap into and celebrate a warm culture within the business.

Role requirements:

This position requires hands-on experience managing digital platforms, notably internal, in a matrix organisation with international connections. It requires providing direction in relation to digital, technology, and content areas, supporting the way campaigns and messages can be proactively communicated to represent the company and inspire its employees.

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in communications/public relations or a related field, with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
  • Excellent writing and creative skills.
  • Hands-on experience in managing content across digital channels, including an intranet.
  • Competence in measurement, data, analytics and insight
  • Proven ability to translate complicated messages into simple, engaging language.
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other life science industry communications environment is advantageous but optional. Working in a complex organisation with multiple stakeholders and communications channels is essential.
