My exciting new client is seeking a driven and ambitious Group Finance Director who is ready to play a pivotal leadership role in a market leading Insurtech company. The company is in a period of significant growth, with ambitions to accelerate over the next 3-5 years. This position is not for those who prefer the predictable; it's for a leader eager to drive change and be part of a success story.

Day to Day of the Role:

  • Manage the business's Insurance performance and commitments.
  • Oversee the relationship with our audit partner and ensure the successful completion of audits.
  • Offer strategic advice to improve financial performance and identify new business opportunities.
  • Accountable for financial management and operations, ensuring regulatory standards and controls within the Finance function.
  • Develop financial and tax strategies, oversee transactions and processing systems, and implement operational best practices.
  • Maintain robust internal controls and adhere to GAAP and relevant regulatory requirements for financial and tax reporting.
  • Formulate the company's future direction and establish a framework to prioritise strategic initiatives.
  • Accountable for underwriting performance, developing insights into book performance, and improving the loss ratio.
  • Manage corporate obligations including company secretary duties, accounts preparation, taxation, options schemes, and audit processes.
  • Prepare the business for a potential future exit.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Consolidated experience as an FD, with progressively responsible financial leadership roles.
  • Fully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA or equivalent
  • Excellent technical financial expertise supported by relevant finance qualifications.
  • Experience leading a Finance function in a regulated/insurance business.
  • Experience in leading or being part of a sale process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the organisation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis.
  • High level of integrity, dependability, resilience, and determination to succeed.
